Year after year, the Tokyo Game Show is one of the most important dates in the East Asian video game calendar. Industry giants such as Square Enix, Konami, SEGA and Bandai Namco use the event to advertise their fall and winter lineups and introduce new games to the world public. Here we go with an announcement that should please all classic JRPG fans. The traditional Suikoden series will be given a new edition in 2023. Under the somewhat difficult title Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War, parts one and two will be released in a polished version for PS4, PS5, Xbox consoles , Nintendo Switch and PC. The characters and backgrounds get a graphical update and the battle effects and sounds are also improved.
