In its capacity as asset manager for a fund based in Luxembourg, Sonar Real Estate has let approximately 1,520 m² of office space in the “Giesing Business Center” in Munich.
The new user of the property at Pilgersheimer 38 / Kühbachstrasse 11 is SOCOTEC Deutschland Holding GmbH. With its companies CANZLER, SCHOLLENBERGER Kampfmittelbergung and ZPP ENGENIEURE, the German SOCOTEC Group offers a complete range of architectural, engineering and technical services that optimize the value chain in the construction sector.
The “Giesing Business Center” was built in 1958, expanded in 1990 and extensively renovated in 2010/2011. It has a total of about 21,800 m² of rental space. About 70 percent is office space, about 20 percent is retail space and about 10 percent is convenience space. Aldi, a dm supermarket and Heinrich Bossert Immobilien, another user from the real estate environment, are all staying in the building. The tenant mix is traditionally completed by companies from the education sector. The occupancy rate is currently around 90 percent.
Holger Hosang, Managing Director of Sonar Real Estate, commented: “The long-term lease of SOCOTEC Germany means a further increase in the quality of the tenant mix in the ‘Giesing Business Center’. The property benefits from its proximity to the city center of Munich and good transport links via the train stations ‘Kolumbusplatz’ and ‘Candidplatz’, which can be reached in just a few minutes. There are also various retail and catering options in the season itself and in the immediate vicinity. That is why I am convinced that the space still available in the building section Kühbachstraße 1 will soon have new users.”
