Under the motto “People and goods in motion”, this year’s IAA Transport from September 20 to 25, 2022 in Hanover will focus on sustainable changes in alternative drives for logistics and transport. Quantron AG counts as a technology and platform partner for OEMs one of the pioneers in the industry and offers conversion from diesel cars to battery and hydrogen-electric drives as well as its own zero emission cars. At this year’s transportation and commercial vehicle exhibition, QUANTRON will present several zero-emission commercial vehicles, based on two self-developed hydrogen or battery-electric platforms and are now among the vehicles with the longest range.
World premiere hydrogen truck at IAA platform: QUANTRON QHM FCEV
As part of a strategic partnership, QUANTRON has developed an FCEV heavy-duty truck together with one of the world’s leading hydrogen experts, Ballard Power Systems. In there QUANTRON QHM FCEV impressed with the state-of-the-art components, including those from Ballard’s newly developed FCmove™-XD 120 kW fuel cell as well as there integrated eGen Power® 130D E-Axle by Allison Transmission, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of drive systems. QUANTRON also offers an optionally available aero package for all QHM FCEV trucks, which improves the range by a further 10%.
As a tractor unit for long-distance heavy transport, the QUANTRON QHM FCEV 44-1000 through a series of unique selling points:
- One arranged around 700 km depending on use and topographical conditions
- Integration of all elements of the frame structure for maximum suitability for daily use – in compliance with legal requirements and without compromise on dimensions
- Implementation of the ISO guidelines for semi-trailer combinations to ensure the interchangeability of semi-trailers and semi-trailers on a national and international level

- The hydrogen tank of around 54 kg is fully integrated into the chassis

New electric truck platform: QUANTRON QHM BEV
As another world first, QUANTRON is presenting a fully electric heavy-duty truck platform at IAA Transport: QUANTRON QHM BEV is as a tractor unit QUANTRON QHM BEV 44-400 as well as chassis QUANTRON QHM BEV 27-400 available in a variety of variants. With the QUANTRON QLI FCEV, QUANTRON will also present a light truck with Ballard Power hydrogen fuel cell drive with a range of up to 500 km. This can now be ordered in classes from 4.2 to 7.2 tons. The quiet and emission-free transport can be used flexibly and in a variety of ways thanks to its different body variants, especially for long-distance applications, but also for the last mile.
All the electricity is on the stand of the partner VanSelect QUANTRON QLI BEV Vans from 3.5 to 7.2 tons as the best zero-emission solution for inner-city jobs in cities and municipalities. As a light variant of 3.5 tons, this is characterized by its efficiency and suitability for daily use with a load of up to 1,000 kg (depending on the body). As a vehicle of class N1, it can already be driven with a class B driving license and does not need any additional certificate.
Also introduced is there QUANTRON CAESAR 12EV. With its proven battery and traction technology, the fully electric bus offers a reliable, low-noise and environmentally friendly mobility solution with a range of up to 370 km (according to SORT 2).
